CAE is the Spanish regulatory mechanism that gives economic value to energy efficiency actions. Each certified kWh of savings becomes a tradable asset recognized by the Ministry for Ecological Transition.
.01Royal Decree 36/2023 established the National Energy Efficiency Obligation System, allowing obligated parties and delegates to exchange CAE in order to meet their annual targets.
.02Every eligible action — thermal insulation, motor replacement, LED lighting, heat recovery or variable frequency drives — can generate CAE provided it is documented and verified under the official catalogue.
.03ELYXON Energy manages the full cycle: identification of actions, methodological calculation, technical dossier, verification by an accredited body and registration in the national registry.

What companies ask us.
Any individual or legal entity executing an eligible energy efficiency action under the CAE catalogue can generate certificates, provided savings are independently verified.
The price is set on the secondary market between obligated parties and delegates. The range fluctuates; ELYXON optimizes it through its network of buyers.
A well-documented action can generate registered CAE within 8 to 16 weeks after execution, depending on the fact sheet applied and the verifier's availability.
The CAE catalogue covers standardized fact sheets for industry, buildings and transport: lighting, HVAC, thermal envelope, heat recovery, equipment replacement, energy management systems, and more.
ELYXON runs an internal pre-verification that drastically reduces risk. Should an issue arise, we adjust the technical dossier until approval — at no extra cost.
